Stele is a training log. You may use it on your own devices, for yourself. You keep everything you enter; we claim nothing in it.
This matters more than anything else here. The app suggests loads, spots stalls, proposes deload weeks and reads recovery and body-weight figures. All of that is arithmetic over numbers you entered — not a diagnosis, not a prescription, and not supervision. It does not know your injuries, your medication or your history. Lifting weights carries risk of injury. Decide what to lift yourself, and consult a doctor or a qualified coach when it matters.
Everything lives on your device. If you lose the device, reset it, or delete the app, the data goes with it. The app gives you an export and an automatic backup precisely so this is survivable — using them is your responsibility, and we cannot recover anything for you.
If you ask the app to write or convert a program, what you type and any file you attach are sent to our server and through OpenRouter to OpenAI. TypeSafe AI also processes the latest message, attachment metadata, a short text excerpt when available and generated exercise names through OpenRouter to classify training requests and match catalogue names. Clearly unrelated requests can be refused without spending your conversation allowance. See the privacy policy for exactly what travels and what does not.
Two things are yours rather than ours. What you send: attach only what you have the right to send — a plan you bought or were given by a coach is usually someone else's copyright, and sending it is your decision, not ours. What comes back: a generated program is a suggestion produced by a machine from what you told it. It is not checked by a person, it is not medical or coaching advice, and it can be wrong. Read it before you train it, and change what does not suit you — the section above applies to it in full.
The number of conversations included is stated in the app and may change; a subscription buys access to the feature, not to any particular model or to a fixed number of words. Each conversation is sent with a random identifier for this conversation so a follow-up is not charged again, and the allowance is counted against a one-way hash of the verified purchase, as the privacy policy describes. The service may be slow or unavailable, and neither we nor the provider promise otherwise.
WHOOP, Apple Health, Health Connect and any cloud folder you choose belong to other companies and are governed by their terms. Stele is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by WHOOP or any of them. If one of those services changes or stops working, the affected feature may stop with it.
When a friend enters your invite code, each of you can claim one month of Pro after three qualifying workouts. After the code is accepted, log 3 workouts on 3 different calendar days. Each must last at least 15 minutes and include at least 6 working sets. Deloads, imports and restored workouts do not count. Rewards unlock no earlier than 3 days after the code is accepted. The month is always given through the App Store as a store offer you confirm yourself: a friend who is not subscribed gets a free month that does not renew by itself; a subscriber gets a free month on their current plan. Each installation can use one code, and each reward is given once. On iPhone, Apple DeviceCheck limits each device to one friend reward, including after reinstall. Eligibility is consumed when the server authorizes the reward, even if the store offer is not taken. Rewards on Android, including rewards for their referrers, will be available once Pro can be bought there and device verification exists. Codes are personal and may not be sold; we may refuse a reward that looks abused, and may change or end the programme, without affecting a month already given.
The app is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. We do not promise it is free of defects, that it suits any particular purpose, or that it will always be available.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for injury, lost training data, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from using the app.
Apple and Google distribute the app but are not parties to these terms and have no obligation to support it.
## The Apple App Store
This agreement is between you and the developer, not Apple; Apple is not responsible for the app or its contents. Your licence to use it on Apple-branded devices you own or control is the one granted by the App Store Terms of Service. The developer, not Apple, provides any maintenance and support. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price if there was one; beyond that Apple has no warranty obligation. The developer, not Apple, is responsible for any claim that the app or your use of it infringes intellectual property, fails to meet a legal requirement, or causes loss. You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a United States embargo, and are not on any United States list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Google distributes the app and is not a party to these terms.
Android Pro is delivered through Google Play. The app sends the product ID and purchase token to our relay and Google to verify purchases, restore access and check expiry or refunds, including during automatic refreshes. Pending purchases do not unlock Pro. Canceling renewal leaves access until the paid period ends; expiry, a suspended subscription or a refund that revokes ownership removes paid access without deleting training data. Store prices shown before purchase come from Google Play. Subscriptions renew under the terms shown in Google's purchase sheet. Lifetime is paid once and includes the existing one-time AI allowance. The privacy policy describes this real-time transfer; our relay does not retain purchase tokens.
These terms may change. If they change in a way that matters, the app will show you the new version and ask again. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept it.
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Belarus, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer-law rules of the country where you live.
